The plant is being constructed at the corner of North Street and East Parade, Fairfield. The site is next to the existing Sydney Water stormwater treatment plant and is zoned for water infrastructure. This site was chosen in consultation with Sydney Water and Fairfield City Council being close to the Liverpool to Ashfield Pipeline that will provide secondary treated effluent to the plant, has sufficient area for construction and is close to key customers.
